Regret Toward the Theater: Accusations and Boycott

On December 6, An Ha-Lim (안하림) announced on Facebook that he would boycott his scheduled appearance at Magic World in Vienna, while publicly accusing the event organizers of misconduct.

Ha-Lim had performed at Magic World earlier in April that same year, but his performance fee had not been paid for over six months. Moreover, when he pressed for payment, he was allegedly threatened with legal action. Concluding that the organizers lacked both intent to pay and respect for performers, he decided to speak out again.

On December 11, after seeing Ha-Lim’s post, Aurore Mourgues harshly criticized him, ending her message with the statement, "and I will never book any magicien[sic] who is sharing your post." Her words drew widespread disappointment among performers, and many expressed sympathy toward Ha-Lim.
